The Story Behind Emma’s Place

Sometimes, the things that bring us the most peace begin in the middle of life’s hardest moments…

For me, that place was the kitchen.

Baking became my escape—a creative outlet when life felt overwhelming and a little bit of therapy when I needed it most.

Had a hard day at work? **Let’s bake.** Feeling lonely? **Let’s bake.** Got a raise? **Let’s bake!** Received good news? **Let’s bake.** Didn’t know what to do next? **Let’s bake.**

Somehow, in the middle of measuring flour, mixing batter, and creating something from scratch, everything seemed to make a little more sense. Baking gave me peace. It gave me something to look forward to. It reminded me that even ordinary ingredients could come together to create something beautiful.

And then God opened a door I never expected.

What began simply as a creative outlet slowly became something more. In May 2013, **Emma’s Place was born**—named after the most precious person in my world, our daughter, Emma.

What started in my kitchen has become a journey I could have never imagined. Over the years, Emma’s Place has had the incredible privilege of being part of so many of life’s sweetest moments—birthdays, weddings, baptisms, holidays, showers, graduations, family gatherings, and countless celebrations in between.

But the sweetest part has never really been the cakes, cookies, or treats.

It has been the **people and the memories behind them.**

Every order represents a moment worth celebrating, a milestone worth remembering, or someone worth making smile. And I am incredibly grateful that something that once brought *me* comfort has grown into something that can bring a little sweetness and joy to others.
